When people talk about sex, it’s usually with the assumption that everyone wants it all the time. There’s this notion that we’re all just waiting for the moment to get home, tear each other’s clothes off and ravage our partners.

In a culture that makes sex seem like it’s all anyone wants, it can feel really isolating if you’re not all that interested in sex. But sex is important for connection and intimacy. Make sure you get all the nutritions to support your health

Feeling sexy, and boost your libido, is very much connected with feeling healthy. That's why it's important that you get all the nutritions your body need. Make sure you have enough vitamins and minerals in your system. Some vitamins and minerals are difficult to obtain through food alone. So even if you have a healthy and varied diet, there is still a chance that you may not get enough vitamins and minerals in your body. Supplements can help with this.

Give Yourself Some Love

This could be carving out time for yourself for some alone time, or attending a stress-reducing yoga class. You could also try deep breathing before bed or even a regular meditation practice. Everyone will be different so try to find something that works with you and your schedule. 

Get Plenty of Sleep 

Sleep really underpins everything from a wellbeing perspective. If your sleep is short, disrupted or you suffer from insomnia, it can make everything feel difficult, especially sex. When you’re well rested, things just seem to click and most women report a significant jump in sex drive when they are getting enough quality Zzzs at night. If you can’t get good quality sleep at night (Because you have a newborn at home, or a partner who snores!) try to incorporate naps. A 20 minute power nap can do wonders. If you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, make sure you wind down properly before bed and avoid screens an hour before bedtime.
